Golf With Bob Frey

Amazing news!  For the second consecutive year Bob’s foursome carded a dazzling 13-under-par score of 59 and won the First Flight Trophy in the 19th Annual CrossPoint United Methodist Church Golf Outing on Saturday, June 12, 2010.  The beautiful round (7 pars, 9 birdies, 2 eagles) came together on an absolutely gorgeous early summer day at Deer Valley Golf Course.  Bob’s reliable Ray Cook putter came through this year, draining a long putt on the 1st hole to begin the birdie barrage.  Bob was getting off the tees astonishingly well for an old lady, but his teammates were just bombing them.  Bob did however contribute some dramatic chips and approach shots, including a closest-to-the-pin-winning 8 iron on #10.  (He missed the 6-footer!)  Dare we dream of a three-peat in 2011??  Whoo-hoo!  I’m gonna continue this silly game!
